Why I'm Recommending TushBaby
(Real Mom Review)
If you've ever carried a toddler through an airport on one hip while dragging a carry-on with the other hand, you know the specific kind of pain I'm talking about. It lives in your lower back, it shows up around hour two of travel day, and nothing fixes it — until TushBaby.
I'm not exaggerating when I say this hip seat completely changed how I travel with my kid.
Fun Fact: TushBaby Was on Shark Tank
I've been a TushBaby user for a while, and I recently found out they were a Shark Tank brand. I was rewatching old episodes and there it was — TushBaby, pitching the exact hip seat I use on every trip.
It made me love the brand even more, knowing it started as one mom's scrappy idea and turned into something moms everywhere swear by.
TushBaby Products I Own
my main travel piece, goes everywhere with us
clips onto the hip seat for hands-free carrying
a hand-me-down from my sister-in-law, my backup/car option
Having two hip seats in different colorways has been fun — Brown Saddle is neutral and travel-ready, Black Quilted feels a little more elevated. TushBaby clearly designs for moms who want function and something that doesn't look like standard baby gear. (And if you're shopping any of these, don't forget — code ALLISONC or my link above gets you 16% off.)
TushBaby Hip Seat Features
Ergonomic seat design — distributes your kid's weight so it's not all on one hip
Adjustable waist strap — fits your body, not a generic one-size
Storage pockets — built-in, because you'll never have a free hand otherwise
Multiple colors and patterns — from neutral saddle tones to fun prints
TushBaby for Airplane Travel and Nursing
This is where TushBaby earns its keep for us. On flights, the hip seat doubles as a stable little perch for my toddler while boarding, moving through the airport, or waiting at the gate — freeing up both my hands for boarding passes, passports, and snacks.
It's also made nursing on planes so much easier. Having a stable base to rest on instead of trying to hold a nursing position in a cramped airplane seat is a genuine game changer.

TushBaby Coupon Code FAQ
The Snug Attachment clips onto the hip seat for a more traditional front-carry, hands-free setup — no need to buy a separate carrier.
My Cream Snug Attachment pairs with my Brown Saddle hip seat, and the mix-and-match option is a nice touch since you can switch carrying styles depending on your kid's mood or how long you'll be out.
The same TushBaby discount code ALLISONC (or my link) covers the Snug Attachment too, so it's worth grabbing both together.
Is TushBaby Worth It?
(Quality Check)
After passing a hip seat down through two households and putting my own through multiple trips, the quality holds up well. The fabric doesn't feel flimsy, the straps stay adjusted, and the seat isn't sagging after regular use.
For something doing manual labor every time you leave the house, that matters.

Does the TushBaby discount code work on the whole site, or just certain products?
Code ALLISONC (and my link) both apply 16% off site-wide — hip seats, the Snug Attachment, and anything else in the TushBaby shop, not just select items.
Do I need to enter a promo code at checkout?
Only if you want to. You can either type in code ALLISONC at checkout, or shop through my link and the 16% off applies automatically — no code needed that way.
What colors does the TushBaby hip seat come in?
TushBaby offers a range of colors including Brown Saddle and Black Quilted, plus prints and other neutrals — colors and availability can change, so check the current lineup on their site.

A Little Mama Encouragement
TushBaby started as one mom's idea to solve a problem she was living every day — not a huge company, not a perfect polished plan, just a mom who was tired of hip pain and decided to do something about it.
If you're a mama sitting on an idea right now — a product, a business, a side hustle you keep talking yourself out of — take that as your sign. You don't need permission, and you don't need it to be perfect before you start. You just need to start.
If you've got a good idea, go for it. The worst that happens is you learn something. The best that happens is you build something that actually helps other moms the way TushBaby has helped me.
